Course description
This course provides students with a unique opportunity to study cool-water marine biology, in a marine environment that has some of the highest biological diversity in Australia. Marine biologists are concerned with the interdisciplinary study of how marine organisms interact with their living and non-living environments, how marine ecosystems work, the consideration of the impacts of humans on the marine environment and how marine resources can be managed. An integral part of the course is the study of marine wildlife and the influence of oceanographic processes.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed a Bachelor of Environmental Science, or equivalent, plus have an overall level of academic performance of 65% or greater in their level 3 units.
Application details
Students should submit their undergraduate application through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) if they are: a year 12 student, TAFE student or graduate, mature-age student, Non-school leaver or higher education student looking to transfer from another institution. They must also attach resume outlining relevant work experience, 500 word personal statement (Motivation and commitment to study, Knowledge of the course and area of study, future direction and application of degree and ability to express clear and concise English) and hard copy referee statement/s supporting their application and personal statement.
